Today Claudia and I did our first official group ride. One of our local bike shops (BikesPlus) has a late afternoon ride starting at 6:30 pm each Tuesday. It was approximately 18 miles, and we did it in about 1 hour 20 minutes at an average speed of 13.5 miles per hour. Pretty good for a couple of newbies.
Our friend, and awesome cyclist, Bill McDonald hung with us and helped us keep a good pace and a lookout for traffic. It was a very fulfilling experience to complete the ride, and we plan to do these as often as we can.

- I grew up in the '80's and love the metal music from that era. One of my biggest passions in life are foreign languages. I currently speak three different languages (English, Spanish and a little Portuguese). My first real passion, however, is the guitar. I picked it up at the age of 15 and played pretty hard for about 5 or 6 years. After taking almost a 10 year hiatus, I picked it up again and I am having a great time with it.
